Your wedding is going to be the biggest, most beautiful, most significant day of your entire life; the day your name changes and your soul becomes entwined in another’s for the rest of time. It is a day you will remember forever as you drift off into little daydreams now and then, look at your husband in the mornings and flick through the photo albums created on that day. That is why it is so easy to get caught up in all things, well, you. The dress, the hair, the makeup, the bouquet of flowers, the shoes, veil and everything else.

However, you need to remember that you are just one-half of this huge celebration and so it is just as important you make sure your husband-to-be looks his most handsome. With that in mind, we have pulled together our top tips on how you can make sure your groom looks good enough to eat when your day finally arrives.

The Hair: Classic Always Wins

Between now and the end of time, you will see a thousand trends come and go, which is why you need to urge the love of your life to ditch the hot haircut of today in favour of a more classic look; something that will stand the test of time. We’re talking slicked back, side parting, a shoulder-length swoosh or even a well-maintained quiff. These are all timeless, and haircuts that won;t see your husband cringe when the wedding album comes out two decades from now.

The Face: Clean Shaven Works

Look, some men just look drop dead gorgeous in a beard or designer stubble, in which case don’t try and fix what isn’t broken. However, if you are undecided then the safe bet is to go for a clean-shaven look, in which case the closer the shave the better. That is why you should book your man into a barber’s that specialise in cutthroat shaving, or even just buy him a safety razor and badger-brush so that he can do it himself.

The Groomsmen: Smart And Matching

In the same way you have spent so much time, energy and focus in ensuring your bridesmaids look absolutely stunning, you need to make sure the groomsmen look just as handsome. That means investing in some bespoke suits that will do them – and your man – total justice. It means having matching pocket decorations, shoes that shine, fresh haircuts, waistcoats and the same colour flower bursting from their lapels. These are the men that will accompany your man, and so they need to look the part too.

The Smile: White Is Alright

There is only one rule to follow when it comes to style and that is: no outfit is complete without a smile. We’re not saying your man needs to have teeth that are positively glowing, but a brighter shade of white will not go amiss. Not only will this mean they look dashing in all the photos, but they will also be able to enjoy your big day with that little bit more confidence because, as we all know, confidence stems from within and burst through a smile.
