The conscious bride’s wedding makeup

Taking cues from Youngblood’s commitment to environmental responsibility and natural ingredients, make the most of planning your big day with delightfully self-indulgent experiences courtesy of this mindful brand.

A makeup trial a few weeks before your wedding will ensure that you achieve a look that will most suit you and your vision for the day. Essentially, you’re looking to create a beautifully polished version of your usual look. Young Blood recommend allowing at least 45 minutes for makeup application on the day itself.

Youngblood’s makeup artist, Anna, played with a warm, natural palette to complement the bride’s hair, eyes and skin tone. As the bride’s gown would be an ornate, elegant style, the Makeup artist chose to keep the look sophisticated and flawless.

After using the Mineral Primer to prolong the wear of the makeup, Anna applied a Liquid Foundation in Tahitian Sun, which is rich in ocean minerals to hydrate skin and promote a healthy radiance. To conceal shadows around the eyes, a blend of Deep and Medium Tan was applied. The look was completed with a dusting of Loose Mineral Foundation in Toffee. The silky, lightweight foundation formulations allow skin’s natural luminance to shine through, give fantastic staying power and without a glittery reflection under camera flash.

To create a colourful pink flush, Anna used a matte Mineral Blush in Zin. Meanwhile, the brows were given a strong definition with the Dark Brow Artiste Kit. The brow bone was highlighted with the Illuminating Duo Eye Pencil. The intention was to create soft, shimmery eyes and so natural, golden shades in Ora, Coco and Gilded were used. The eyes were defined with a subtle catflick using Eclipse Gel Liner. The eyes were finished with Outrageous Lashes Mascara in Blackout.

For a pretty, long-lasting pout, the lips were lined with a Rose Lipliner and filled with the creamy Honey Nut Lipstick, which contains natural oils and vitamins to condition lips.
