Umberto Giannini campaign 7days 7ways showcased by Tali Lennox

I don’t usually blog about hair trends but this party season the Umberto Giannini campaign – 7days 7ways showcased by Catwalk queen Tali Lennox got my attention. The Umberto Giannini team show us how to get red-carpet worthy hair so you can look on trend, glam and gorgeous without expensive salon trips this festive season. The hair in these pictures is achieved using the Glam Hair and hero product Backcomb in a Bottle. Here the Umberto team are shooting the looks:

UMBERTO GIANNNINI
7 DAYS 7 WAYS
GET THE LOOK
1. MESSY BOHO
You will need:
  • Curling irons or flat irons
  • Umberto Giannini Glam Hair Backcomb In A Bottle
  • Backcombing brush
  • 2 or 3 hair grips

This is such a great every day look and the extreme side parting adds a cool vibe to the texture. Its easy to do, especially on next day hair but if you do have fine hair then wash and condition first with Umberto Giannini Glam Hair volumising shampoo and conditioner to add some substance and make it easier to create movement.
1/ tong two inch sections of all of your hair and let the hair cool. If you know how to make waves with flat irons then this will work too.
2/ tip your head upside down and liberally spray all through the hair with  Backcomb In A Bottle
3/put some backcombing at the roots of your hair and take a low parting at the side of your head.  Drag the big section of hair across your forehead and pin in place.
2.  HOLLYWOOD SIREN
You will need:
  • Curling irons
  • Umberto Giannini Glam Hair Backcomb In A Bottle
  • Backcombing brush
  • A handle full of hair pins

This is such a cool way to try out short hair for the day! Its very sophisticated and has an old school edge but wear it with denim and a simple eye line and I think its really cute and retro.
1/if you have long hair like me then take the nape section and make a simple pleat going underneath to cheat a shorter look and pin this in place with hair pins.
2/ make a side parting and tong all the remaining hair using your curling tong.
3/ pin place your barrel curls to make them shorter, so they are secure and not dangling, making sure to hide the ‘turn up’ at the back with a top layer of curls. When you have arranged them in a shape you like, spray with Backcomb In A Bottle to firmly hold the style.
4/ Backcomb your front section, spraying some Backcomb In A Bottle underneath to achieve the required height, I went as big as possible because I love the way the hair then falls across half of your face.
3. MODERN UP-DO
You will need:
  • Umberto Giannini Glam Hair Backcomb In A Bottle
  • Paddle brush
  • Hair band
  • Backcomb brush

I couldn’t believe how simple it was to create something that looks so worked. The secret is in the brushing and only allowing your natural texture loose in the pony. You can also do this look with a neater finish by pinning the loose hair into a bun but experiment with your hair and see what you come up with.
1/ with your head tipped forward brush all your hair up to your crown and secure with a strong band.  Check your reflection from every angle to make sure you have the pony positioned at a face flattering angle, for me, high on the crown seems to work better than right up on top but find your best angle.
2/ make the brushed back hair sleek by spraying with Backcomb In A Bottle to fix fly-aways and repeat brushing as often as you need to get it just right.
3/ divide your pony tail into three sections and backcomb each using lots of Backcomb In A Bottle to give the contrasting texture.
4/ arrange hair around the pony tail band and pin in place freestyle. Use more Backcomb In A Bottle to sculpt the desired shape.
4. ROCKABILLY GLAM
You will need:
  • Curling irons
  • Umberto Giannini Glam Hair Backcomb In A Bottle
  • 2 or 3 hair grips
  • Paddle brush
  • Backcomb brush

This style is going to become a new favourite way to wear hair for a night out because it is actually really easy to do and has a really flattering effect on your features.
1/take the top section of your hair and backcomb using Backcomb In A Bottle to hold the shape high on your head.
2/brush the side hair straight back and pin in place at the back. Use Backcomb In A Bottle to get a sleek shin finish on this section and fix fly aways.
3/ use a curling iron to tong the loose hair around the shoulders.
4/ using more Backcomb In A Bottle, sculpt the top hair into a shape you like.
5.  CASUAL BUNCH
You will need;
  • Umberto Giannini Glam Hair Backcomb In A Bottle
  • 2 or 3 hair grips or a snag free band
  • Backcomb brush

This is a great way of tying back your hair without the ‘trying too hard’ look that braiding can sometimes give. It looks great from the back too and you can leave as much or as little hair loose as you like depending on your outfit.
1/ using Backcomb In A Bottle and your backcomb brush put plenty of volume in the roots of your hair paying particular attention to the back of your head.
2/ section the back into three and make a fat plait with a side direction over one shoulder. Secure with a band or grip.
3/ backcomb the tail end, the messier the better!
4/ now add more backcombing to the front section of your hair and sculpt into a high shape, holding in place with Backcomb In A Bottle.
6. RUNWAY READY
You will need;
  • Umberto Giannini Glam Hair Backcomb In A Bottle
  • Backcomb brush

You know what they say, ‘the bigger the hair the smaller the hips!’ I sooo love this look, its brave for sure but for that big night out when you really want to impress its so glamorous and looks like you’ve just stepped off a catwalk, you can vary the size to suit your mood but trust me, you’ll get noticed if you go for it! Keep makeup minimal but graphic to complement the simplicity of the shape.
1/ for this style you’ll really need to go crazy with your backcomb brush and Backcomb In A Bottle.
2/ taking small sections at a time, backcomb each one like mad, from root to top. Use Backcomb In A Bottle to hold each section high off the head. You may need the help of a friend to reach the back if you have particularly long hair!
3/ once all your hair is standing on end use your fingers to mould a wild shape and the backcomb brush to smooth the outer layer.
4/ finish with a generous spray of Backcomb In A Bottle to make sure your huge style doesn’t move!
7. FREE FLOWING TEXTURED
You will need:
  • Curling irons or flat irons
  • Umberto Giannini Glam Hair Backcomb In A Bottle
  • Backcomb brush

Isn’t this pretty? The product gives a nice separated texture to the waves.
1/ using your curling iron or flat iron if you know how to create waves with it, texturize your entire head of hair.
2/ turn your head upside down and spray Backcomb In A Bottle into the roots. Give it a blast with your hair dryer to set the spray. This will give you phenomenal root lift, the secret of this free style.
3/ now use more Backcomb In A Bottle to sculpt a shape you like with even more root lift at the front. Use Umberto Giannini Backcomb In A Bottle to define the texture on the hair tips and smooth out any split ends.
What do you think ladies? Let me know your thoughts on the styles and step by step guide.
