London Fashion week has just been and gone in a blur of its usual madness. This season I stayed 5 minutes from the BFC and 10 minutes from Freemasons. Yes utter perfection. I always say when I’m asked for Fashion week hacks, make sure to carry flats as you’ll need them. But thankfully our apartment was so central I walked in heels everywhere, yea living the Fashion dream darlings. So this season we stayed in an apartment rather than a hotel, for various reasons but mainly the home from home feel. When it comes to Fashion Week and being a Fashion commentator/blogger and presenter its all about the outfit posts and I promise you I never have less than 3-4 suitcases for my short stay so imagine the space I need. The apartment was just perfect, when I saw the cupboard space and my own dressing table I just melted with excitement. The lounge was gloriously bright and the full length windows meant spent my mornings people watching from the full length windows and starting each glorious day feeling inspired. So location wise we stayed just off Chancery Lane, 5 minutes from Holborn and the heart of Bloomsbury. The area is buzzing but the apartment feels like an abyss of calm away from the madness. Everything is close and we had coffee shops downstairs so we could just wake up and grab breakfast if we wanted to.
The apartment and location is also perfect for picture opportunities and most importantly ladies, theres a gorgeous bath. So at the end of a long day you can have a lovely soak to destress. When we arrived there was a complimentary arrival pack with literally all the essentials you would usually have to pop out for but didn’t need to. Oh its so nice just to have a modern kitchen and be able to prepare healthy meals while away from home.
Our serviced apartment, a “Merino Hospitality” apartment was set just off Chancery Lane and it was the best decision ever booking an apartment . It is ideal for the creative Fashionista set as it is just a 5 minute walk from The Strand, yet in such a peaceful location I actually woke completely energised in the mornings. It felt like we were home from home. The hubby was with me this season but if I had been alone I would’ve also felt incredibly safe because the apartments are so secure with a key fob entry and video monitor.
On sunday we had a bit of an easier day so we got up early and loved exploring the local surroundings, grabbing brunch down the road and lunch at an Italian in Bloomsbury. The furnishings are stylish, modern and fresh theres everything you need to feel relaxed and at home; wifi is of course essential along with Netflix and a Sonos in the lounge and bedroom for our tunes. We slept like babies in our Super-king size handmade bed and I can’t deny I loved my ‘me time’ baths with their comp Aromatherapy Associates toiletries.
