Things to Consider When Shopping for Bridal Party Outfits

Shopping for bridal party outfits is something that many friendship groups dream of as they grow up. However, it isn’t always sunshine and rainbows. Tensions can run high if everybody isn’t on the same page. Here are some things to think about before you go shopping to help you through:

Go When It’s Quieter

Going when it’s quieter could be the key to having a stress free shop, so take a day off work if you can. You won’t feel rushed or get irritated this way, and you’ll be able to find the perfect outfits in peace.

Don’t Take Too Many People

It can be tempting to take every woman and their cat, but you should limit it to maybe two people who’s opinions you trust. Taking too many people will overwhelm you and you won’t be able to think clearly. Only take those who matter the most to cupboard WM2

Go for Similar Feels

Not only are you going to need to get yourself a dress, but you also need to get your bridesmaids dresses too. Then you must think about flower girls, and maybe the Mother of the Bride if she’d like to shop with you. Go for similar themes when it comes to your wedding/bridesmaid dresses, but look at different mother of the bride outfits if you like. You could always keep your mum in with the colour scheme so that she looks a part of the party properly!

Try to Find Something That Suits All

This is the hardest part; trying to find something that suits everybody. It’s so hard when everybody has a different body shape, hair colour, and skin tone. You need something that flatters their figures and makes them look great, not washed out. It isn’t fair for you to pick something dull so you know you’ll stand out.

Try to Pick Something Reusable

Picking something reusable is the best way to do things. Your bridesmaids will probably be more than happy to buy their own dress this way. There are lots of styles and colours they’ll be able to wear again and again!

Think About Covering the Difference

If you find the perfect dress but it’s out of your bridesmaids budgets, don’t expect them to cover the costs. If you really want the dresses, think about covering the difference.

Take Their Opinions Into Account

This is your big day, and you need to like the dresses you pick. However, take their opinions into account. They will really appreciate it if you make sure you don’t pick a colour or style they hate.

Consider Working in a Two Colour Palette

You don’t have to have all of your bridal party outfits in one colour. You could have a two colour palette, where you pick slightly different shades so that each person has something that suits them best!

There’s a lot to consider, but you can pick something gorgeous if you take these things into account first. Good luck and have fun with it!
