The Body Shop Hemp Hand And Lip Protector Review

Here at Ultimate Lifestylist we are always on the lookout for a good hand cream and lip combo. These are essentials for any cosmetics bag and we think we’ve finally found the perfect pair. The Body Shop’s Hemp Hand Protector and Hemp Lip Protector are our new must have items for everyone – men and women!

Now you may be thinking that hemp doesn’t sound like the most appealing ingredient in a skincare product but hear me out. Hemp seed oil is very rich and hydrating and is the reason for these two products being so amazing.

The hand protector feels thick and luxurious but absorbs quickly into the skin. It keeps working long after it’s settled, your hands will feel soft and supple with no sticky or greasy residue. I usually apply it before going to bed and my hands still feel moisturised the next morning. If you’re prone to constantly washing your hands, or even if your not, this cream will do wonders for you. No wonder it’s one of The Body Shops best sellers!

The lip protector is equally as good. It feels lovely and smooth once you apply and doesn’t leave any residue. It’s perfect for priming lips before lipstick and works so well that you really only need apply once. I brought it as I was on the lookout for a lip balm that actually worked; my winter-chapped lips really needed some serious TLC. I had tried numerous other products but none have stood up to this Body Shop one. Within a week of using it my dry, chapped and sore lips had transformed to oh so soft, smooth and nourished.

As always The Body Shop’s packaging is effective and stylish -I especially love how the hand cream is packaged into a paint tube style.

Now hemp doesn’t exactly smell like roses. It’s not bad smelling but it’s definitely different to the usual standards. It has a subtle henna type smell but don’t by any means let it put you off buying  either of these wonderful products. Both are exceptionally good value and the best in the market by miles. Trust me you won’t regret it!
