Pears Soap UK Brand Ambassador role
I’m not sure
if you still use Pears or even realise that it’s still around but Pears soap recently invited me to be their UK Brand Ambassador in a year long campaign to celebrate their 225th anniversary and what an accolade that is.
I’m contacted daily by beauty brands to work with them, try or test their products and be involved with their campaigns. But being invited to be brand ambassador really touched me, why, well to me it evokes childhood memories of my gorgeous and timelessly beautiful grandma who never used Quick Fix beauty products as they weren’t on the market back then. She passed away when I was a young child and she was a classic representation of Timeless Beauty a kind and gentle soul with such a beautiful smile and loving heart. I miss her terribly and never forget her loving, gentle energy, but as soon as I smelt the classic amber soap again after many years all those childhood memories kept flooding back, playing in the garden, being happy and with my family.
And that’s why I’m so honoured to be representing Pears the Worlds oldest registered brand and first transparent soap. When I think of Pears I think of Iconic advertising campaigns pioneered by the King of Advertising Thomas Barrett
and ‘Miss Pears’ competitions. They brought me on board to share my beauty knowledge and advice for Timeless Beauty after they commissioned a study to celebrate their anniversary on what women deem beautiful. Out of all the possibilities Happiness, Humour and confidence ranked in the top three attributes and Audrey Hepburn was voted our top Timeless Beauty.
Try some age old beauty superfoods: Your diet has an impact on everything so try to go back to basics like they did centuries ago. Follow a healthier diet full of fruit, vegetables and fish. If you eat a healthy balanced diet you will feel better from inside out. Porridge is a great way to start your day, as oats are high in all the right things to help improve your skin. Washing face with hot water: When you’re washing your face, whatever skincare routine suits your skin type, it’s always good to remember to wash your face with warm water to open the pores followed by rinsing with cold water as this then closes the pores.
Try to replace the car for a walk: Leading an active lifestyle will have an impact on your overall well-being and state of mind. Before public transport everyone would have to walk therefore being active was part of their day. Walking is so good for you as a way of staying active.
lots of water: Replace soft drinks or fizzy drinks for water. Water is the best way to rehydrate your skin and energise your muscles. Add lemon and you will be on track to a healthier you. Lemon water boosts your immune system, it helps with wrinkles and generally hydrates and energises you naturally.
5. Beauty through the ages: Apply curdled milk to your skin as it was thought to cure acne. Also Cucumber doesn’t just have to be used for tired eyes, its juice seemingly has the power to remove your freckles. Apparently boiling nettles removes the sting and once applied to your face, it produces a smooth, even complexion.
