Overhauling Your Health in 5 Simple Steps


When we think about our overall health and wellbeing, it is so much more than just eating kale and going to the gym. There is much more to it, and often we forget to care for all aspects of our health. We know that if you treat your body like trash, it isn’t going to do that well for you. You are likely to feel lethargic, moody, and not looking or feeling at your best. But treat it well, and it will give you that all back, ten fold. So here are some simple ways that you can overhaul your health, and make sure that you are being as healthy as possible; your physical health as well as your mental health.

Go Outside

We can take up so much time by looking at screens that we can avoid going outdoors. So one thing that you should aim to do everyday is to get outdoors. Not only is the fresh air good for you, but you could turn the outdoors time into a healthy habit by going for a walk or a run. Being in nature can do wonders for your mental health too.

Sleep Better

The amount of sleep that we get can have a big impact on how we function overall. If we are always looking forward to a nap, then it isn’t going to help us to be productive or get done all that we need to. Look for what could help you, whether that be a new mattress, buying blackout blinds, or simply heading up to bed earlier.

Replace Bad Habits

Look to replace any bad habits that you have that are having a negative impact on your physical or mental health. You could replace some things with other things that are going to be better for you, or just cut them out cold turkey. Some things will be trickier to quit, like smoking, for example. So that is where something like vaping or bongs could come in handy, as it can eliminate the smoke part of it, which is better for your lungs. Then you can just wean yourself off the nicotine side of things as time goes on.

Practice Mindfulness

Mindfulness, or the art of just ‘being’ can be a tricky thing to master. But it really can help your health in many ways. Take breakfast time, for example. Are you rushing around with barely time to eat? Or are you eating while reading the paper, listening to music or watching the news? When you take time to simply do one thing at a time, such as just eating your breakfast, you can set yourself up for the day, reduce stress, and help your mental health.

Increase Water Intake

When we haven’t been drinking enough water, it can show in our health, from our skin to our energy levels. So make sure that you are drinking plenty of water. Having a bottle with you at all times can help so much, so that can be a good thing to make you remember.
