New York Shopping Deals

Naomi Isted in New York
If you love shopping or if you love fashion, all us girls and fashion loving guys know that NYC is a heaven to shop till you drop. Miami’s great but if you live in the UK the garms you buy there don’t get out of the wardrobe much and the same with LA, I love the shops in LA but with about 5 days of sunshine a year back in the UK it seems pointless to go there just to shop. However NYC is a whole different story, it was built for the crazed fashion loving shoppers like myself.
Now don’t get me wrong I love fashion with a capital L and I’m not gonna lie but I do have a penchant for designer garms but I’m also a bargain hunter at heart. So there’s no better feeling than getting a quality designer look at a percentage of the original tag. You’ve got to think practically about fashion, trends change seasonally so that’s why high street retailers are great for little trendy bits but for the classic cuts that never go out of fashion I personally like mine to be designer. The quality will last years longer, mainly because most designer bits are dry clean only so you’ve got no choice but to care for them properly. Poor little dejected high street bits in my wardrobe probably get neglected at times.
Anyway I’ve done with the years of going on a shopping frenzy in a few stores then seeing stuff later thats nice but I’m all out of doe as I’ve just given it large in a couple of stores. So now I’m like a bird of prey circling the garms and stores and strategically buying items. I’m so glad my shopping style has changed as it proved very worthwhile while in NYC.
First day there, my man and I stalked the isles of Macy’s to see what was good, what was great and what was good from a far but far from good. We didn’t buy anything day 1, wow result, more to spend day 2,3,4.. But I had seen a cool Michael Kors chunky silver jumper reduced from $300 to $150 which I thought I’d probably go back for.
Don’t forget when shopping in new York you usually get 10% percent extra off at Macy’s if your a visitor so take note.
Day 2 we drove to Woodbury Designer Outlet, OMG I was in designer discount heaven.. Ok so if you hire a car its about an hour north of New York with no traffic and its a really nice drive. When we arrived I actually nearly started having palpitations. As we were driving down into the Shopping Village all I could see were all the best brands: Balenciaga, Miu Miu, Burberry, Chanel, Jimmy Choo, True Religion, Michael Kors, Moncler to name only a few.
This was designer discount at its best, even better because usually shopping at home is either online or plus 1 to 3 little sprogs you just cant shop the same with kids in tow.
Again don’t forget if your a tourist you can go to the information centre and get an extra 20 % off which I didn’t find out until I’d virtually spent up. We dipped and dived in and out of every single store and here’s a few of my amazing bargains:
Lets start with my shoes. I don’t really shop in Coach but saw these and fell in love. They were originally $380 about £310 but reduced to $185 about £120.
These shoes are gorg and I love them!!

Then my favourite purchase of the trip.. I really need a new spring summer bag and couldn’t resist the Jimmy Choo Rosalie nude moc croc. Original price is £895 in the UK I paid approx £450 waiting for my credit card exchange rate. But OMG A bag for half price woozers!

Then I went on a mad frenzy in Michael Kors as I love his garms and you can’t really get them easy here apart from Netaporter and Outnet.

Below is my selection of a few of my Michael Kors items.. Love these:
Leather trousers retail at $595 paid $125.
Then OMG couldn’t believe it the chunky silver Michael Kors jumper that was already reduced in Macy’s from $300 to $150 I nabbed at the outlet for $50..Oh yes!!
I wasn’t planning on buying another coat but when I saw this hanging up in the changing rooms and saw the price tag again $500 to $150 I couldn’t resist:
Then finally I ended up in the true religion store and got myself the following deals:
Skinny jeans with swarkoski pockets $250 paid $99.
Skinny waxed effect with shimmer was $250 paid $50

Denim shirt was about $200 paid $50.

So lets just say I was more than a happy camper when I then went out for my birthday in my new bits to uber trendy Noho restaurant Sons of Essex on Saturday night for some wicked grub.

We flew United Airlines and stayed in a 1 bed suite at the Affinia Manhattan which is perfectly located for all the central bits and bobs. Even better that there’s a starbucks on every block so when you’ve been out drinking and need a proper coffee fix to get those Choo’s on and shop till ya drop its within arms reach.

I love this city. Think I love it even more for the best designer deals I’ve nabbed for a long time.
