As a Fashion and Beauty columnist I am in and out of salons trying and testing the very latest treatments/trends on the market. However as soon as I fell pregnant that changed. On average I would be in a different salon at least once a week to test a treatment and review for you guys, my lovely readers, with an honest, no-holds barred opinion. However during pregnancy what you can and can’t do can be a complete mindfield and as your body changes so does its sensitivity to different products and elements. So over the past 8 months I have been careful to avoid treatments as I’m not a doctor and not sure what is and isn’t permitted during pregnancy. Eight months later my waist has tripled, I’m still busy with work but feeling tired. Getting the usual pregnancy symptoms like backache and SPD. So when an established company thats sole focus is focusing on pregnancy and babies offered to give me an at home pregnancy massage I could’t wait as I knew this being their specialisation I could indulge in some pampering.
MamaBabyBliss was founded in 2006 by Justina Perry with the purpose of providing a range of natural holistic services that would support mothers throughout their pregnancy and the early months of motherhood. Having seen the benefits of baby massage with her youngest child, Justina decided to retrain in Infant and Child Massage and set up her own baby massage classes in North London, which would give her more flexibility around her children. Demand for her classes grew quickly and soon she was running a number of busy MamaBabyBliss Baby Massage and Baby Yoga Classes. However, whilst the babies were being pampered and nurtured, mothers were neglected, which inspired her to train in Prenatal and Postnatal Massage, Pregnancy yoga and postnatal yoga. These treatments and classes were soon after added to the MamaBabyBliss menu of mum and baby pampering! So who better to help me relax at eight months than justing the founder of Mama Baby Bliss and I can tell you I really needed it. My back was sore, my legs feel swollen and i’m not going to go into detail of how tired I am from sleepless nights. Justina came to me and I had roughly an hours full body massage in a rare hour of complete and utter calm and bliss. I drifted off quite happily and felt completely renewed by the end of it. Just wish I could take justing into the labour room with me. I reckon her massage techniques could come in rather handy when labour kicks in.
Obviously I’m sorry to say Justina can’t be everywhere but wanted to deliver pampering for mums, babies and mums-to-be across the country. So the MamaBabyBliss baby, new mum and pregnancy skincare range was born. The maternity gifts and pregnancy products have since been nominated for and won many awards, but most importantly they have been enjoyed by thousands of mums, babies and mums-to-be. I am personally addicted to their Tummy love oil its amazing and I’ve been using it for months.
In a mission to encourage UK companies to support and nurture mothers when they return to work, MamaBabyBliss also offers a unique online Corporate Maternity Gift Members Scheme.Today, MamaBabyBliss operates in the UK and overseas with a network of baby massage and baby yoga teachers, who run their own flexible business to fit in around their family’s needs.
Their lovely vision is to empower women and mums to build a new flexible and rewarding career around their family, and share the benefits of MamaBabyBliss with as many other parents and babies as possible!
Thanks again Mama Baby Bliss for the most relaxing pamper I’ve had for ages.
