LFW Interview with Jewellery Designer Laura Vann

We spoke with Laura Vann of V Jewellery at the Designer Showrooms at London Fashion Week where she previewed her stunning SS16 jewellery line!

Tell us about the new collection

It’s a progression from what we’ve done in the past our signature style is very art deco and so what I anted to do for spring/summer is make it a bit more vibrant. Previous designs have been quite icy and used clear stones so for Spring/ Summer I really wanted to do an injection of colour. It was very much inspired by Miami and South Beach with their architecture and the Art Deco Buildings which have got a lick of sub tropical colour and so after visiting Miami I was really inspired by that. I wanted to take our signature Art deco style and lap it up with some colour, which you can see in all the different colour stones we’ve used.

Do you have a favourite piece?VJEWELLERY4

I’m very fickle so I always say my favourite piece is whatever’s new! I get very excited by the new pieces but especially the scaffolded rings that we’re doing and they look pre-tiered so it’s really nice to adorn the finger with loads of jewels that kind of seemingly climb up the finger

If you would to like to see one celeb wearing your jewellery, who would it be and why?

Somebody asked me this before and I can’t think! Well to be honest recently we had FKA Twigs wearing our jewellery and that was really great to see her wearing them. She’s got fantastic style.
