LFW Interview With Lilliput & Felix

We spoke to Katrina Ramsey, the designer behind swimwear brand Lilliput & Felix at LFW about her latest collection.

Tell me a little bit about the SS16 collection? IMG_3866

The brand itself is kind of based on two main channels. The first one being really interesting, bright, textures and prints and the second being new silhouette’s and shapes that haven’t been seen before that flatter all different types of figures. Historically the band has been focused on shapes that are multi tie so it’s like buying three swimsuits or three bikini’s in one. You can tie them as you wish to support and flatter your figure whoever you are. The latest collection has some styles that are more supportive and offer more coverage for an older customer or someone a bit more fashion conscious who might be worried about skin exposures to the sun. And also a range of new beachwear including kaftans, two piece suits and a jumpsuit. We have two colour stories so a bright pink blossom theme and a blue waterfall one.

What was the inspiration for the new collectionThe inspiration for this collection is the secret garden. You know the book , the film or just the concept of an imaginary lost garden. There’s a lot of beautiful textures and colours and floral.

If you could dress one celebrity who would it be? I think Sienna Miller would be a really good ambassador for the brand. I think she would be wonderful to dress.
