I’ve just got back from a weekend on my own attending Ibiza Fashion Festival. Yes you read that right, Ibiza on my own and honestly it was the perfect weekend. I was really excited to be invited to attend Ibiza Fashion Festival by the lovely founder Karen Windle.
Prior to my trip I got myself Ibiza ready with several body contouring treatments at a clinic I go to regularly in Kent, Elite Aesthetics. A compulsory fake bake spray tan, highlights and a blow dry at my hairdressers Inanch and lashes/brows at my local Salon 112.
Not only was I mega excited to combine my love of fashion and travel to attend the event but also that the first few samples of my collection Naomi By Brix and Bailey were ready for my trip.
I started my weekend being chauffeured around the beautiful white isle by one of the sponsors, Ibiza Lifestyle Concierge, ran by husband and wife team Mel and Tony, who made me feel so comfortable and they were mega helpful for the entire weekend, not only driving me around but also suggesting great places to go and see.
After arriving early I headed to my hotel in San Antonio a 5 minute walk from San Antonio, I stayed at the Purple Hotel in a stunning top floor suite which overlooked the pool. The hotel, staff and food are all fabulous and so affordable. As the hotel is mainly targeted at the LGBT community I felt so comfortable being on my own and made loads of lovely friends.
So on the Friday night Ibiza Fashion Festival held a press launch on the rooftop terrace at Es Vive hotel, the views were incredible, the music was on point and the vibe was just super cool with all the fab sponsors and guests. The drinks were flowing courtesy of Constantin Vascorino the cocktail sponsor. I met the lovely Rowetta from the Happy Mondays who performed on the Saturday night and the very sweet Farah Sattur, along with numerous lovely ladies and chaps who were showcasing their designs the following day.
Post roof terrace press launch Karen and I headed for an incredible four course meal at STK which I can honestly say was mouth watering and again such a chilled and cool vibe.
Saturday I spent the afternoon at Ocean Beach wearing the new swimsuit from my line with Brix and Bailey and drinking far too much Champagne. Then I packed, showered and changed for the main event. I opted for a pair of lime green Ashley Isham silk trousers and a bodysuit for the Fashion Festival.
The setting for Ibiza Fashion Festival was just uber cool at the divine Es Vive hotel, designers had stalls with their beach or summer inspired collections. There was both womens and menswear and how cool is this, DJ Damon Hess from MTV is their resident DJ and their were also DJ’s who are originally from LA had flown in all the way from China to DJ at the show.
14 designers and some of the mout stunning beach, accessories and swimwear I’ve seen for a longtime. Nails looked awesome in a metallic effect by Nails of Baptiste. The makeup was golden, glowing and shimmery perfect for any lush beach party by Kiss and Makeup. Hair was super glam by the Circus Team. One of the main sponsors was Revo sunglasses owned by U2 leader singer Bono. The official photographer was the fabulous fashion photographer Krish Nagari. This is definitely an event not to be missed for boutique and beach brands alike.
With thanks to Ibiza Fashion Festival, Tony @ Ibiza Lifestyle Concierge, The Purple Hotel and Nick Ede and Hotel EsVive for their hospitality.
