How to Feed Your Bag Obsession for Less

How to Feed Your Bag Obsession for Less

Like any self-respecting fashionista, I love bags. They’re practical, as well as beautiful, so you always have an excuse to buy them. However, they can also be expensive. Of course, I can walk into the nearest cheap store and pick up a bag for hardly anything. But if it only lasts a few months or even weeks, is it worth it? Buying more costly bags can mean you have a limit on how many you can afford, though, so it’s important to try and get more for your money. So here are my top tips for getting more bag and spending less.

Wait for the Sales
This tip might seem like a no-brainer, but it’s still an essential thing to keep in mind. There’s nothing worse than buying something you love, only to see it discounted the very next day. Of course, if you’re relying on the sales, there’s an element of risk. It’s fine if you don’t have anything in particular in mind, but not if you have your eye on something. It could be gone by the time the sales roll around, or not in the sale, and you’ll be empty-handed. You have to use your shopping skills to decide if it’s worth waiting.

Shop in the Right Place
Picking the right places to shop is crucial too. Luckily, the internet makes it much easier to sniff out the best shops. Checking the online stores for your favourite brands could get you a bargain that you won’t find in-store. And bags are the perfect thing to buy online because you don’t need to try them on. Other websites to check are wholesale sites such as purse-obsession.com, outlet websites and even eBay. You won’t just find second-hand things on eBay, but new items too, and from official sellers. On the high street, try going to shops that stock the brand with others, rather than straight to the source.

Forget the Labels
If you want more bags that are still great quality, avoid being a label queen. Big names can spell excellent craftsmanship and design. However, you can find bags that are just as beautiful and will last just as long without the label. You do have to be careful about what you choose, however, and you still have to spend a bit of money. Don’t expect to buy something dirt cheap and keep it forever. Do some research about the brand and check where the bag was made, and what it’s made of.

Go for Quality Over Quantity
Of course, you may not be bothered about having a huge collection of bags. To get high value out of your purchases, make an investment. If you’re willing to spend a bit more, you won’t need to replace your bags as often. It’s up to you whether you want to spend the same amount on lots of different items or fewer quality ones that you’ll have for years.

Anyone who loves bags can afford to feed their obsession if they know how to find bargains. You only need to know where and when to look to bag yourself your new favourite bag.
