Designer Summer Sale Steals
Its thats fabulous time of year again when the designer sales send me into somewhat of a frenzy and a bit of an online shopping addiction. A self proclaimed designer clothes junky but bargain hunter at heart. Ladies I’m sure if you are anything like me or my fashion obsessed friends (I’m not naming and shaming my fashion junky buddies but you know who you are lol) you’ll know all the incredible sites where you can steal some amazing bargains for your cherished wardrobe or shoe habit. Outnet.com is one of my all time fav’s but I also dip into secretsales.com and cocosa.com regularly now too.
Fashion and sales can be a good and bad thing, to be fair if its high street it can potentially all end in tears, believe me I’ve had years of shopping and made the mistakes of horrendous panic buys. The high street sales can occasionally find some cute little deals but normally the shops are just completely mobbed, (the words cattle market come to mind) and everyone is panic buying like its an episode of Supermarket Sweep, so not a good look. Therefore my days of high street sales are well and truly done and dusted. I’m certainly not saying I dont shop high street because i do I love it, but just not at sale time.
However give me a designer sale and I’m in shoppers paradise. Omg when Netaporter, Jimmy Choo and Outnet recently had their summer sales I couldn’t resist scooping up these amaze bargains. Here’s my little selection of lovelies, I love all these designers and their new Autumn/Winter Collections. First up though is my quirky skirt by Maarten van der Horst for Lulu &Co, original price was £280 cost £42. Here’s a bit about Lulu & Co:
“The Lulu & Co brand is conceived as a series of limited edition ‘edits’ and eclectic collaborations with the best of London’s design talent, as chosen by Lulu Kennedy.Lulu Kennedy and The Old Truman Brewery founded Fashion East, a philanthropic project to support new designers in 2000.
Lulu has scouted and launched the hottest names including Jonathan Saunders, House of Holland, Marios Schwab, Roksanda Ilincic, Gareth Pugh, Louise Gray, Richard Nicoll and many other designers at London Fashion Week.” Lulu & Co
Then I spotted this gorgeous sateen and jersey blazer by Thakoon Addition, perfect for teaming up with jeans to dress down or dressing it up with a casual summer dress and boots. Originally priced at £180 down to £60, STEAL!!
If you want to shop direct for the latest collection have a look https://www.thakoon.com/shop/all. “The Thakoon collection is a true reflection of the highly diverse background of its designer, Thakoon Panichgul. Born in Thailand, raised in Omaha and now New York-based, Panichgul’s creations blend various distinct influences with dynamic ingenuity. His work is an examination of innovative construction. His collection imparts a feminine spirit, poised elegance and an underlying hint of playful wit.” Thakoon Addition
Then for my stunning red silk pants OMG only 85% off the original £340. These 100% silk pants not only look and feel stunning on but they fit amazing, think I am a new fan of Mara Hoffman, I just love the vibrant colours, exquisite designs and cultural influences of her collections, check her designs out for yourself https://www.marahoffman.com
I don’t tend to be one for girlie going out dresses as I’m more of a skinny jeans and lush tops type of gal but I’ve started wearing more blue this season and thought it would be nice to team this gorgeous Mikael Aghal Georgette dress up with a pair of my choos, nice excuse for a cocktail or two! “Chic, sultry and young, Mikael Aghal brings couture-inspired gowns to real life through the creation of the new brand. The line combines fine Italian silks, such as soft chiffons and charmeuse, silk taffeta, and jacquards, with feminine, structured cuts for the worldly, modern glam girl.” Mikhael
A definate essential for this heatwave we’ve had was a new pair of day to day funky shorts and i just love these IRO Mesa embellished denim hot pants. These were 60% off so how could I say no to such generosity? Again I love the latest collection from IRO https://www.iro.fr/en/collection/woman.html the cuts are sleek and stylish without being over the top. Very hot!
Then my cheeky little indulgence a pair of Sabine PVC Karl Lagerfeld shorts, I got these a size up deliberately as I’ll wear them casual with a vest or jumper and blazer. You can’t help but love KARL, he’s an icon!
“Under the creative direction of Karl Lagerfeld, one of the world’s most influential and iconic designers, Karl, the new line aimed at a cosmopolitan and digitally-savvy clientele, launched exclusively online.” Karl Lagerfeld
Final summer deal was this funky Marni Cottonblend top, massively discounted from £335 to £50 wow!! Shop for Marni at www.marni.com ladies.
