A/W 2017 Beauty Trends

A/W 2017 Beauty Trends

Beauty and fashion go hand in hand, from the subtle shades that compliment your outfit to the more bold statements that complete the look. We’re taking a look at what’s on trend this A/W.

Taking it back to the 80s

Straight from London Fashion Week the 80s are back with a new romantic vibe. As long jackets and bold colours take the runway your look isn’t complete without glowing complexions, full eyebrows and striking eyeshadows.

To achieve the look make sure you moisturise and then apply radiance-boosting foundation. Once the base is ready it’s time to choose your eyeshadow. For paler skin try lighter shades or, for those with darker tones, hot zesty pinks and oranges are the way to go

Swinging sixtiesLR

Swinging into the 60s

The 60s are making a comeback with full eyeliner and feline flicks, but keep eyeshadow simple with pale shades or au natural!

Achieving the look is simple: take the eyeliner from the inner corner and swipe across the lid into a flick; apply on the lower lid too for a statement look.

From another world

Makeup of teh Furture

Metallic silver and gold will make an appearance towards the end of the year giving beauty a futuristic feel. This look is all about the eyes and lips with darker shades and misplaced liner standing out on paler skin tones, finished off with some pink blusher.

If this is the look for you it’s time to invest in soft lipstick colours, metallic shadows and pink blusher to get that flushed look. When working on the eyes mascara should be clumpy and eyeliner applied on the brow bones (like Twiggy in the 60s), ensuring your eyes are striking.

The natural look

Au NaturalFor a softer look take inspiration from Dior, at A/W 2017 their models took to the catwalk showcasing a contemporary collection, complimented by natural, glowing skin tones.

Going for the natural, glowing look? Then use a primer before applying a foundation that compliments your tone.
