A day at Lords

A day at Lords

So for those cricket enthusiasts that regularly attend cricket and watch either at games or on the TV there’s no better way to experience a match than a day at Lords. The prestigious cricket ground in the heart of St Johns Wood. Cricket isn’t just about the incredible skill of the talented batsmen and bowlers, its the atmosphere, the whole experience of a wonderful day at Lords.

My brother, a former junior international cricketer has been to many cricket stadiums but playing for Scotland it was never Lords. My entire family are cricket obsessed and then there’s moi, Mrs Fashionista! I cant deny I’ve not been to a cricket match since my teenage years when I would be forced along to watch my little brother playing. So I thought what better way to treat him for his birthday than a day out with his big sis for an international match at Lords.

So what better way to enjoy the cricket than a full hospitality package, with fine dining and plenty of options in the liquid form plus a full day of cricket. I have never spent an entire day with my little bro or at the cricket let alone with copious amounts of alcohol in the equation so thought it could end up a very interesting day!

Being that hospitality has a smart/casual dress code and I work in Fashion needless to say I opted for smart rather than  casual and wore a lovely floral dress with my Alexander Wang leather biker, Aspinal Handbag and Valentino heels. For future reference I will wear flats or wedges rather than heels tho!!

So my outfit was on fleek but how was our day? Well firstly my brother was utterly over the moon to be spending the day at Lords and it ended up being a real bonding day out, teaching me the rules of cricket, with divine food and catching up over family life.

Ok fashion and food don’t tend to go hand in hand but both my bro and I are real foodies and honestly the dining options were beyond my expectations. Lunch  was utter bliss, the service was second to none and staff so lovely and helpful.. Sorry if you get a bit of food envy but I have to share our relish meals with you..

So that’s our starter, Sashimi of Yellowfin Tuna!

Now for the main course a mouthwatering selection served from the Chef’s Table of Roast fillet of beef, piri piri seared scallops, garden pea and matured cheddar tart and salad. Although there’s alot more on my plate than that. Accompanied by a wonderful South African Chenin Blanc..

Dessert was a Millionaires chocolate torte this was simply bliss and I felt so naughty devouring the entire desert my trainer would definitely punish me with extra press-ups.

What an incredible day at Lords, the sun was shining, the atmosphere was incredible and my first proper experience of cricket spending half my time in the very luxurious Marylebone Suite was so memorable. The best bit about a day at Lords and the wonderful experience of hospitality is that you don’t have to be  a massive cricket fan to enjoy this incredible experience, it can be a lovely treat for a loved one or family but just as enjoyable for you.

Thanks so much for an incredible day of cricket, food, wine and bonding!!

A hospitality package like others is approx £500 per person. Hospitality packages vary. For more info head to;
